Gothenburg Botanical Gardens

I feel so lucky that mini-breaks are now a thing in my life, and on a long weekend break in Gothenburg, Sweden, last weekend I finally got my spark for photography back. Amongst consuming pastries the size of a dinner plate, chugging back litres of (full caff) coffee and perusing the art galleries we visited the Gothenburg Botanical Gardens

Whilst we were a bit too early in the year for the majority of the garden (the rose garden looks like it would be beautiful in the summer) the greenhouses were packed with rare orchids, alpine plants, succulents, and so many more I can't even remember. I got a bit too snap happy and regrettably didn't recall the names of some of the plants (it happens, right?). But, here are a selection of these snaps.

I'm thinking of investing in a macro lens for even closer close ups- any recommendations for a canon camera would be great thanks.

I would highly recommend a visit to this superb place.
